Electrical system is almost complete....

I've been plugging away every chance I get and I'm almost finished with the electrical system. It seems like there are a million things to do but it's coming together. The biggest challenge has been that everything is tying together. That means I've been working on the navigation system, plumbing, bilge, communications, audio/video and so on and so forth. Running conduit and installing junction boxes has really pushed me for some final decisions on where everything will end up.

Last week, the rain inspired me to install windshield wipers on the pilot hose. I bought 3 single speed motors from Fisheries supply in Seattle, drilled the holes, installed junction boxes, ran conduit and wire, and put two switches at the helm station. I wired all three self parking wipers to a single pull switch with a momentary bypass switch that will allow clearing spray off the windows with the push of a button

Dream it. Design it. Build it. A hobbyist at heart, I'm usually asked, "Wouldn't it be cheaper and easier to just buy that?!?". Sure, but then I wouldn't understand it and appreciate it like only a do-it-your-selfer can!
