Propulsion - Perkins 4.107
Starting with the fuel system, we have two steel integral tanks that will hold approximately 170 gallons combined. The fuel lines are 1/2" black pipe with the tank siphon and tank coated in epoxy paint. Ball valve shutoffs control flow of fuel so that we can either draw from both tanks at the same time, one tank at a time, or transfer fuel from one tank to the other via the return lines. There is a day tank for providing fuel for our Dickinson diesel stove/oven above the starboard side tank that is fed using an electric pump and overflows back into the diesel tank. A Jabsco "centrifugal puppy" bronze cenrifulgal DC motor/pump can be operated once the fuel lines are open to move fuel to the day tank or to transfer fuel from one tank to another.
